Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to 1Setter, a macOS menu bar app for one-click access to commonly used and hidden system settings. By downloading, installing, or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our application.

Use of the Application

1Setter provides users with quick and convenient access to macOS system settings through a menu bar interface. You agree to use the application in accordance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations, as well as Apple's macOS software guidelines.

License and Registration

  1. License Purchase: To use 1Setter beyond the trial period, you must purchase a valid license. You must provide accurate information during the purchase process.

  2. License Key: Upon purchase, you will receive a license key via email. You are responsible for keeping your license key secure and confidential.

  3. License Activation: Each license key can be activated on multiple devices. Sharing your license key with others is prohibited and may result in license revocation.

  4. Trial Period: 1Setter offers a trial period to evaluate the application. The trial is for personal evaluation only and is subject to the limitations specified in the app.

Intellectual Property Rights

1Setter and all associated software, design, and documentation are protected under copyright law. The copyright owner of 1Setter is www.1setter.app.

  • You acknowledge that you do not own the underlying technology or intellectual property that makes up 1Setter, and you agree to respect the intellectual property rights of 1Setter and any third parties.
  • Your license grants you the right to use the software but does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling 1Setter is strictly prohibited.

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities while using 1Setter:

  • Sharing, selling, or distributing your license key to unauthorized parties
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code
  • Using the application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempting to bypass license verification or other security features
  • Modifying or creating derivative works based on 1Setter
  • Using the application in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the functionality of macOS

Privacy and Data Collection

1Setter collects minimal data to provide and improve the service:

  • License Information: Email address and license key for activation
  • Usage Analytics: Basic usage information about which features you access
  • System Information: macOS version and device information for compatibility
  • Crash Reports: Anonymous crash reports to improve app stability
  • Payment Information: Data necessary to process payments through our payment providers

Pricing and Payments

  • One-Time Purchase: 1Setter is available as a one-time purchase with lifetime access
  • Refund Policy: All purchases are final and non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or within 14 days of purchase if the app has a critical defect that cannot be resolved
  • Price Changes: Prices are subject to change, but existing license holders will not be affected by price increases
  • Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely through Stripe and Creem
  • Taxes: Prices may not include applicable local taxes, which will be added at checkout

License Termination and Revocation

We reserve the right to revoke your license and terminate your access to 1Setter at our sole discretion, without refund, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, including but not limited to:

  • Sharing or selling your license key
  • Attempting to bypass license verification
  • Using the application for illegal purposes
  • Violating intellectual property rights

Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of 1Setter and delete all copies of the application from your devices.

Disclaimer of Warranties

1Setter is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy, reliability, compatibility, or availability of the application and disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  • We do not guarantee that 1Setter will be compatible with all versions of macOS or future macOS updates
  • We do not guarantee that 1Setter will be free from bugs or errors
  • You use 1Setter at your own risk and are responsible for any changes made to your system settings

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 1Setter and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • The use of or inability to use 1Setter
  • Any changes made to your system settings through the application
  • Data loss or system instability resulting from the use of 1Setter
  • Incompatibility with macOS updates or other software

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 1Setter, its developers, and their respective affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of 1Setter
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Any changes made to your system through the application

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of 1Setter should first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable laws.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of 1Setter after any changes signifies your acceptance of the new terms. We recommend checking these Terms periodically for updates.

System Requirements and Compatibility

1Setter is designed for macOS. Minimum system requirements and compatible macOS versions are specified on our website. We strive to maintain compatibility with the latest macOS versions but cannot guarantee support for all future updates.
